Heidi is the teacher of all of RHS's Project Lead the Way Biomedical Science courses. She has been teaching at RHS for 8 years and is passionate about teaching and learning. Before taking on the Biomedical Science program, she taught Chemistry and Environmental Science. Her favorite biomedical science topics are genetics, the brain & microbiology. She also deeply enjoys learning about the history of science. She has a Bachelor's of Science from The Ohio State University and a Masters of Arts in Teaching from Earlham College. JESSICA RINARD
Jessica is in her third year of teaching Biology and Anatomy at RHS. She attended college at Anderson University and began teaching at RHS during the 2012-2013 school year. Her favorite topics to teach are electrophysiology of the nervous system and muscle contractions, pig dissections, and cellular structures. Outside of school her favorite activities are visiting her family in Ohio, cooking enchaladas, and playing with her dogs.

OFFICERS
CASSIDY WHITEHEAD, PRESIDENT, JUNIOR
Cassidy is our current HOSA President, and is an enthusiastic member of the Biomed program. She is currently taking the third year Medical Interventions class, and plans on taking the final year of Biomed her senior year. Cassidy is an avid lover of all things science related, and is currently enrolled in AP Chemistry at RHS. For Cassidy, women's health is her main focus. Her grand plan is to attend Indiana University for pre-med, move to the east coast for medical school (Maryland or bust!!), become an OB/GYN, and be a part of a practice devoted to providing satisfactory medical care for women. Cassidy will be running for one of the Indiana HOSA State Officer positions at this year's State Leadership Conference! Quote from Cassidy regarding HOSA: "HOSA is a wonderful club in that it brings together a diverse mix of individuals all interested in the future of healthcare. Running this club alongside Hisrich and Rinard has been an honor. I am excited to watch this group flourish in their leadership skills as well as in their competitions!" Accomplishments: Cassidy placed 5th in the state for Forensic Medicine alongside Brittany Timmerman, and advanced to Nationals with Annie Slappy. |
KINZIE MARTIN, VICE PRESIDENT OF PUBLIC RELATIONS, JUNIOR
Kinzie is our current VP of Public Relations, and is in charge of keeping our subcommittees organized and assisting the President with her presidential duties. It is safe to say that Kinzie is in LOVE with running. She is currently a part of the RHS cross country team, and loves every minute of it! Her favorite thing to do in her down time is to read. In college, Kinzie would like to become a Pediatric Endocrinologist. Her favorite subjects within the biomed program are Endocrinology and Pathophysiology Quote from Kinzie regarding HOSA: " HOSA is something I will never forget. TYLYN JACKSON, VICE PRESIDENT OF DEVELOPMENT, FRESHMAN
Tylyn is our current VP of Development, and is in charge of all of our fundraisers. She keeps in close contact with our treasurer regarding our balance, and makes sure that we have plenty of fundraisers set in motion so that we can pay for our competitions and events. Tylyn is currently in the first year biomed class, and her favorite subject so far is Forensics. CHARLISA CASSADY, TREASURER, SENIOR
Charlisa is our treasurer, the one who keeps our group in line financially. She is currently enrolled in the fourth and final year of the Biomed program. Her favorite subject is epidemiology, the study of how disease is spread. After high school, Charlisa would like to attend Ball State and major in Biology. Charlisa is willing to help anyone in need, and is one of the most enthusiastic members of HOSA. Quote from Charlisa regarding HOSA: " I love HOSA because it has led to meeting really great people, getting closer with people in our chapter, and getting a jump start on a health care career." Accomplishments: Charlisa competed in Epidemiology and state and received third place! She went on to nationals in Orlando, and competed alongside other HOSA members fascinated with diseases and their path of infection. |
MITCHELL CASIANO, SECRETARY, SENIOR
Mitchell is our current secretary, and is in charge of taking notes at each meeting and making sure that people are up to date on new events and updates. Mitchell is an extremely enthusiastic member of HOSA, and also enthusiastic about band. Each year he works his tail off to compete all across Indiana with the RHS marching band. He is an EXCELLENT clarinetist. After high school, Mitchell would like to attend Indiana University Bloomington and major in Biochemistry in order to attend a pre-med occupational program. - JESSICA CRANE, HISTORIAN OF SOCIAL MEDIA, FRESHMAN
As Historian of Social Media, Jessica is responsible for keeping the website up to date. Jessica is one of our most enthusiastic freshmen who has really come out of her shell and stepped up to the plate when it came to fundraising efforts. Jessica is really interested in Forensic Anthropology, and plans on competing in Forensic Medicine this year at state. She is a huge fan of the show Bones, which fuels the fire of her passion for Forensics. Even though she is Freshman, Jessica has her future planned out. Jessica hopes to attend Notre Dame University to study Forensic Anthropology, and eventually become an author. Her favorite topic in Biomed is Forensics, of course.

TAYLOR HILL, HISTORIAN OF RECORDS, JUNIOR
As Historian of Records, Taylor is in charge of keeping our chapter scrapbook (a book we present at SLC for the 'Outstanding HOSA Chapter' competition) updated, taking pictures at all of our events, and documenting our accomplishments at competitions. She works alongside Ivy to make sure that the community can see how awesome of a group we are! Taylor is an avid chemistry lover, and is currently enrolled in RHS's AP Chemistry class alongside our president. In fact, they are lab partners! Taylor is also enrolled in the third year Biomed class, and her favorite topic is cancer. After high school (and years of college), Taylor would like to become a trauma doctor, working in the ER. ANA AQUINO, PARLIAMENTARIAN, JUNIOR
As our current Parliamentarian, Ana sole purpose is to insure the fluidity of our meetings based upon Robert's Rules of Order. With the Robert's Rules book at hand, Ana oversees that no member talks out of turn, and is a productive participant at each meeting. Outside of HOSA, Ana is a dedicated violinist, and is addicted to the obsessive world of Netflix. Of course (when the weather is nice), Ana enjoys a pleasant bike ride as well. Ana is a very dedicated (and very new) member of HOSA who plans on using her HOSA experiences in the future as she strives to attend Florida Gulf Coast University, but her major is undecided. Ana currently takes PBS, the first year Biomed class at RHS, her favorite topic being genetics. JAIME ALLEN, SERGEANT AT ARMS, SENIOR
Jaime is one of our most valuable resources when it comes to keeping the meetings going smoothly. If ever there is a conflict between individuals in HOSA, Jaime confronts the issue and resolves it. If the team starts to go off topic during a meeting, Jaime is the one to "crack the whip" and keep us in line. Jaime is also one of the more crafty individuals in our chapter, adorning all of our decorations and advertisements in pounds of glitter! After high school, Jaime wants to attend Trine University and major in Secondary Education in Life Sciences and minor in US History. She then wants to become a biology/anatomy teacher for 4-12th grade. She is currently enrolled in the third year Biomed class. Freshmen
AUBREY MOORE
Aubrey is one of our resident "band geeks", working hard to put on a spectacular show for the onlookers of RHS basketball/football games and judges at their state competitions in the summer. Aubrey is incredibly devote when it comes to subjecting herself to new experiences and learning new things- prompting her to join HOSA and further her knowledge of basic science, chemistry, and the medical field. Outside of HOSA, Aubrey enjoys playing volleyball. As for career plans, Aubrey has a trifecta of options she is interested in: physical therapy, forensic pathology, and pediatrics. |
ALEXUS JOHNSON
It is safe to say that Alexus is constantly on the go- she has been a student at 13 different schools in her lifetime! When Alexus heard about HOSA, she knew it was the right option for her, and would benefit her in learning about the possible careers she might strive for in the future. Outside of HOSA, Alexus enjoys swimming, shopping, and singing. Alexus also enjoys going outdoors, and is also a dominant member of RHS's Outing Club. Post-High school, Alexus would like to pursue physical therapy or pyschology. |
NECESSEDY WASHINGTON
Necessedy loves to travel- though in a way you might not expect: the highway. Necessedy has been to many (if not all) of the states surrounding Indiana, as well as Florida, and Georgia. Necessedy has her eyes set on visiting the sunshine state of California sometime in the near future. Necessedy dreams of having a masters degree, and studying to become a neonatal nurse. In starting this journey she is a first year biomed student.

RACHEL SHUMINOFF
Rachel was initially shy to join HOSA, but was pressured by her friends to join this amazing group of enthusiastic students- a decision she does not regret! Rachel is currently enrolled in the first year biomed class. Rachel believes that her experiences as a PLTW biomed student, and as a HOSA member, will assist her in becoming a nurse someday. Outside of HOSA, Rachel is an avid volleyball lover, and wouldn't mind a night on the town for a shopping spree! |
TORI PETERS
Tori is a very unique person. She is a photographer, but states that she isn't creative so she captures the creativity of others. That's pretty creative don't you think? She believe the most beautiful thing is nature, and loves Asian cuisine. She has big plans for her future. Since she is a problem solver, her future career choice is a Crime Scene Investigator (CSI). She states that she isn't too good in English class but is fascinated by astrology. She is currently enrolled in the first year class, PBS, her favorite topic being genetics. AJ ALEXANDER
Alexis, who goes by AJ, is an enthusiastic member of HOSA who is currently enrolled in Principles of Biomedical Science (the 1st yr. Biomed class). AJ is a wonderful artist who spends a lot of time sketching in her notebooks. She is also a devoted music lover- in order to speak to her, you might have to take her headphones off first! AJ is also devoted to being active, and is a member of RHS's Track and Field team. Alexis joined HOSA in order to further her knowledge of science, and to learn more about the medical field. After high school, AJ would like to be a Pediatric Emergency Physician. |
DESIREE REYES
Desiree is currently enrolled in the first year Biomed class,and her favorite school subjects are science and history.Outside of school she loves to shop, and of course, hang out with her friends. She hasnt exactly decided on what she wants to do when she gets out of High School, but she is interested in OB/GYN, Nursing and Psychology. |
AMANDA (NIKKI) MITTENTHAL
Some of Nikki's hobbies include soccer, reading, drawing and baking. She was part of HOSA in 2013-2014 during its first year here at the high school, and she really enjoyed it. Her career plans include becoming a Trauma Surgeon. Nikki has some really cool accomplishments. She has been outside of America 5 different times, traveling to different parts of Asia and Europe, probably visiting the family she has all over the world!. PARTH BRAHMBHATT
Parth is a student in the first year Biomed Class, he lives playing video games and has aspirations to work for Riot games when he grows up. With his addiction to playing video games, he likes to watch anime. Some of his favorite video games include League of Legends and Super Smash Bros. He takes the biomed course, and I quote, because Hisrich is cool. (but who wouldn't think shes cool!). Some of Parth's achievements include that hes been to India, he can solve a Rubix Cube in under a minute, Hes been a black belt in martial arts since he was seven, and he has been to the National Youth Leadership Forum for engineering and technology.

TAYLOR JACKSON
Taylor Jackson is an incredibly intelligent young woman who is currently enrolled in Human Body Systems, the second year biomed class. She stays busy with the student body politics, seeing as how she is Sophomore Class President! She is immensely fascinated with medical science and is a complete book worm! Last year at state, Taylor competed in Extemporaneous Writing and Pathophysiology. Her favorite topic in biomed is Endocrinology. |
COLE SHROYER
Other than HOSA, Cole is involved with Boyscouts, Speech, and Basketball. Cole's aspiration for joining HOSA was his love for competition- he promises to bring his A-game with this year's SLC HOSA Bowl competition. As far as future plans, Cole merely wants to enjoys the present with his canine best friend, Scruffy. |

ALEX BRADBURN
Alex, who goes by 'Beans', is a very unique individual. From his outward appearance, one might think that Beans is a hardcore, macho guy who is tough as nails. On the contrary, Beans is like a big teddy bear. He is always there for you when you need him, and is a great source of laughter within our chapter. |
DANIEL JONES
Daniel likes to play tennis, sing in the choir, and participate in HOSA and Biomed. Daniel was a part of HOSA during its first year last year at the high school, he was even one the people who helped found it. Daniel's future includes going to IU Bloomington to become a Pediatric Surgeon. Daniel is currently enrolled in Human Body Systems, the second year course in the biomed program. |
JOCELYN SMITH
Jocelyn is involved with peer helpers, sings in the choir, takes PBS and HBS at the same time, and loves to watch musicals when she isn't doing awesome things with HOSA. Jocelyn joined HOSA because she heard about it from people who were in it last year and she was super jealous. So she just had to be in involved this year. |
RYAN SHUMINOFF
Shumi loves sports, being around people, and military medicine. He wants to attend West Point Military Academy in the future, serving in the army then pursuing a medical career. Ryan could be considered the 'chapter clown', always cracking jokes during meetings. Ryan is a member of the varisty football teem for RHS, and works hard to dominate the field.

Tarissa, one of the many dedicated HOSA members, spends most of her time at the Richmond Civic Theater, where she is is currently working on their production of Peter Pan. Tarissa has a veritable interest for the human body and odd medical anomalies. Her dream is to attend Earlham College to major in Education and Oncology. |
JORDAN CHRISTIAN
Jordan, pictured here with Tom Crean (IU Basketball coach), is always busy with sports- playing on the RHS football and baseball teams. When it comes to HOSA, Jordan is a very enthusiastic member despite his busy schedule. Other than sports, Jordan also enjoys traveling. He is currently a member of RHS's Travel Club, and is in the process of preparing for their summer trip to Costa Rica, where members will assist in building a school for the children of Costa Rica. Jordan joined HOSA so that he could further his knowledge in the medical field- the goal of this phenomenal group. After high school, Jordan would like to become a sports orthopedic. |
ALEXIS KAHLE
Alexis, as in her picture, is never seen without a smile on her face. Alexis is a part of many activities, resulting in a very busy schedule. Her packed schedule includes playing bass for the RHS Orchestra, being a member of the soccer team, and attending dance rehearsals. On top of all of this, Alexis is hoping to take part in gymnastics.As far as HOSA goes, Alexis is very eager to compete, seeing as how she is fascinated with medical science. Post- College, Alexis intends on becoming a pediatrician (or a physical therapist), while also volunteering as a fire fighter. Her favorite subject in the PLTW biomedical science's class is diabetes! |

LYDIA JOYNER
Lydia is one smart cookie. She has taken many different science/high level math classes at RHS, ranging from Chemistry and Physics, to Statistics and Calculus. If you need a question answered, she's your gal! On top of that, Lydia is incredibly funny, and will make sure that you are always in a good mood! |
REBEKAH THOMPSON
Rebekah is without a doubt the most flexible member of our chapter. Rebekah has taken many dance classes,and is also a Devilette here at Richmond High. She spends nearly every morning attending church, attends school, and then hurries to Devilette practice. As you can see, she is one BUSY bee! |

Nate was one of the most enthusiastic members of the biomed program while he was here at Richmond High School. Since then he has moved to Indianapolis, is attending IUPUI and is striving for his Bachelor's in Nursing.

NINA MCLARNAN,
As a highschooler, Nina was exceedingly dedicated to academics and athletics. She was a dedicated member of the swim team, getting up early each morning to practice (what stamina!). She held the position as 'Sergeant at Arms' for HOSA, and kept our group on track and in line. She is now attending St. Olaf college in Minnesota!

Annie was dedicated to the PLTW Biomed and Engineering classes, becoming fluent in all things Project Lead the Way.
